| Introduction |
|
For travel to France there are three categories of visa issued. Short stay visa, Long stay visa and Transit visa. Depending on the purpose of your visit you have to apply in one of the categories.
NEW PROCEDURES RELATING TO VISA APPLICATION FEES
- In accordance with the directives of the European Union, and with effect from 1st January 2003, any visa application made for entry into the Schengen zone has to be systematically accompanied by a prior payment of visa file charges
- This fee will be of an amount equivalent to the visa fees as on 31st. December 2002 for each type of visa. This procedure will be displayed on the notice board for the benefit of the visa applicants.
- The fee shall be paid at the time of depositing the application
- This fee is not refundable, whether a visa is granted or refused. The payment of this fee corresponds to the directive in respect of the application for visa.
- No additional payment will be required to be made for the visas granted.
