THE REPRESENTATION OF THE PEOPLE (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2002.ACT NO. 6 OF 2003.[6th January, 2003.]


An Act further to amend the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-third Year of the Republic of
India asfollows:-


1.Short title.



1. Short title.-This Act may be called the Representation of the
People (Second Amendment) Act, 2002.2.Amendment of Fourth Schedule to Act 43 of 1950.



2. Amendment of Fourth Schedule to Act 43 of 1950.-In the Fourth
Schedule to the Representation of the People Act, 1950, for the heading "BIHAR" and the entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"BIHAR

1. Nagar Parishads.

2. Cantonment Boards.

3. Nagar Panchayats.

4. Zila Parishads.

5. Panchayat Samitis.

6. Nagar Nigams (Corporations).

7. Gram Panchayats.".
